The GME Champion Award is awarded to resident leaders by the leadership team at Riverside Community Hospital. The inaugural award was presented to Dr. Lily Zhong PGY3 during the GME Committee meeting on May 29, 2024.
I just wanted to let you know that Lily has been an amazing example of a senior resident in the ICU. I had a patient yesterday that I was concerned about and Lily wasn’t even the resident on, but went above and beyond to get the ICU attending to discuss with me my concerns of the patient being downgraded. She made sure to keep an eye on the patient given my concerns. She showed true leadership and was an amazing example.
