On May 29, we celebrated the accomplishments of 15 categorical and 10 preliminary residents at the Marinaj Banquet Hall in Moreno Valley, CA.

This year, 45 students from various medical schools rotated with our residents on the inpatient service. Although we recognize the work of all these medical students, we had the opportunity to highlight two in particular:

Finally, Dr. Dawoud introduced the Dr. Zaky Dawoud Journal Club Award. Established to honor the research legacy of her father, this award is given to one presenting pair each year on the merits of presentation quality, background research, teaching of methodology, and application to our own practice. The Dr. Zaky Dawoud Journal Club Award was presented to Lily Zhong, DO and Su-Ting Chen, DO for their presentation of the OCEAN study.
