What an incredible start to the year! We’re thrilled to have welcomed our newest interns to the internal medicine residency program at HCA Riverside Community Hospital. The week-long orientation was packed with crucial information and opportunities for team building.
Our faculty, including Dr. Popa and Dr. Kubomoto, set the stage with program expectations and tips for a smooth transition, emphasizing our commitment to resident success. A key focus was on safe patient handoffs, a cornerstone of our patient care philosophy. We then dove into IT systems, ensuring everyone is ready and connected from day one. To give a real-world perspective, our senior residents shared invaluable insights into a “day in the life” and offered their best Meditech tips.
A quick scavenger hunt was a fantastic way for the interns to bond and explore their new environment.
The week included our annual white coat ceremony, symbolizing the start of their journey with us. We’re so excited to see what this talented group accomplishes!
