Thank you for your interest in rotating with us at Riverside Community Hospital!

In the 2022-2023 academic year, Riverside Community Hospital hosted a total of 496 medical student rotations. In Internal Medicine, we engage third- and fourth-year medical students primarily on the inpatient wards rotation.

Students are assigned to a wards team, working directly with residents and attendings. Students are responsible for the 2-5 patients, based on level of experience, co-managed with an intern or senior resident. Students present patient history and data on rounds, as well as assessments and plans of action. EHR access is provided, with the ability to write notes.

Students also receive didactic instruction from hospitalist attendings, in addition to internal medicine residency conferences.

Requirements include:

• Transcripts
• USMLE and/or COMLEX Scores (Step 1 or Level 1)
• CV or résumé
• Immunization records
• Precheck background check
• Precheck drug screen
• Implementation letter (provided by school)
